Just 28 days shy of her 104th birthday, my grandmother, Ruth Isaacson, passed away last night. Grandma Ruth was a smart, beautiful, feisty woman. Once an avid reader, she loved the World Almanac, could tell you all the state capitals, and was a whiz at TV game shows. She had a sharp wit and an even sharper tongue. She loved poker (but only if real money was involved) and telling people tales of her beloved German Shepherd, Lucky. She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a great grandmother. She was a woman both of, and, ahead of her time. Rest in peace, Grandma. I love you.
