Seth Stanley Levine

Seth was born September 5, 1942, in Ithaca, New York. He grew up just outside of Ithaca in farm country and he attended a one-room schoolhouse for the first four grades of elementary school. After graduating from Ithaca High School and Cornell University’s famous School of Hotel Administration, he earned an M.B.A. from Michigan State University.

While working for United Airlines in Chicago, he met Kathy Larman, a California girl who was working in Chicago at the time. They married in San Francisco in 1971. Seth and Kathy moved to California that year and remained there for many years except for short periods in Houston, Washington, DC, and New York City. In California they lived in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and finally Carlsbad before moving to Aventura, Florida.

Seth developed a career with United Airlines and later Continental Airlines where he became a Senior Vice President. In 1987 he and Kathy decided to go into business on their own. Together they helped major brands build their businesses in the Travel Retail sector and expand their distribution in all major markets. Later on, they joined Invicta Watches and became part of the Invicta team, working with them to build the cruise ship business.

For 35 years, Seth and Kathy were together 24/7 at home and at work, which took them all over the world. “Love” is a much overused word, but for them it was no cliché. Kathy and Seth were in love at the end just as much as they were the day they were married.

Besides Kathy, Seth leaves a brother and sister-in-law, Jonathan and Abby; sisters-in-law Pam and Elizabeth; brothers-in-law Howard and Rob; nieces and nephews Dori, Sarah, Susannah, Adam, and Jesse; and grand-nieces and nephew Maya, Logan, Zoey, and Jonas.

On December 22, 2022 Seth walked off into the sunset. He always loved sunsets. Seth was a kind and sweet person who could see such beauty in everything and everyone. He was always available to listen and support those around him. Seth was loved and liked by everyone he knew inside and outside of his and Kathy’s work life. He will be missed by all.

A funeral service for Seth will be held Monday, December 26, 2022 at 1:30 PM at Star of David Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Chapel, 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, FL 33068. Following the funeral service will be a committal service at 2:00 PM at Bailey Memorial Garden of Galilee, 7801 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, FL 33068.
