Stephen H. Greenberg, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on November 6, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on March 13, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan, Steve was the cherished son of Eleanor Sol, Louis Greenberg, and Jack Sol, of blessed memory, and the devoted brother of Julie Greenberg.
He grew up in Detroit surrounded by a close-knit circle of aunts, uncles, and cousins who remained important to him throughout his life. After attending college in Michigan, he relocated to South Florida, where he lived with his cousin Paul Indianer and began learning the business of financial planning — a field that became both his passion and his calling.
A natural with numbers and people alike, he built a thriving business in Weston helping others achieve financial security, most notably serving thousands of teachers across South Florida. As a trusted leader in the 403(b) retirement planning market, he took pride in helping educators create secure and confident futures for themselves. His honesty, integrity, and deep care for his clients earned him lasting respect and friendship from those he served.
He shared a close and enduring bond with his former wife, Beverly Cypen Greenberg, and together they raised two loving daughters, Lindsey Greenberg Linzer and Jennifer Greenberg. He took great pride in his grandchildren — Noah Linzer, Ben Greenberg, Zach Linzer, and Jordana Greenberg — who brought him endless joy and had deep relationships with his son-in-laws, Ross Linzer and Ryan Baroff.
He will be remembered for his quick wit, love of blackjack and watching sports, devotion to his daily crossword puzzle, and above all, his deep pride for his family.
Steve will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his warmth, integrity, and the legacy of care and trust he built with his family, clients, and friends.
The funeral will take place on Sunday, November 9 at 1:00 pm at Star of David Memorial Gardens at 7701 Bailey Rd, North Lauderdale, FL 33068.
