Dear Richard,

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother-in-law, Yetta.  Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

Though I only had the chance to meet her once during that warm and casual lunch, I remember how kind and welcoming your whole family was.  It was clear how deeply she was loved and what a special presence she held in your lives.

I hope you, Grace and family find comfort in the support of family and friends, and in the many cherished memories you shared with her.

The Later Years - these beautiful women found each other after 60+ years. The reunion  was a blessing and a miracle. Not only did we all reconnect, but they picked up right where they left off. Yetta's family became my family too. History repeats itself. I had the opportunity to know this wonderful woman and remain close with her family. She left blessings with many, but she is forever in my heart.

The Early Years - Yetta and Laura (my mother) shared a friendship and sisterhood worthy of a movie. New York City was never the same. My mother introduced Yetta to her husband Mike and they did live happily ever after.  Both women lost touch with each other after marriage and family, but they never gave up hope of finding each other again.

To the family of Yetta,  

You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.  I got to know Yetta through her granddaughter Randi and her daughter Joyce.  She was such a sweet ,kind person and she will be greatly missed.  I enjoyed all our. Lunch get togethers at Panera and Olive Garden with Randi and Joyce.  I miss those times but will cherish the memories.  Again , you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

My Grandma/1 of my Best Friends/A Survivor/A Strong Lady/A Hero this is how I describe Yetta Gerskowitz(AKA GIGI). My Grandma 👵🏻 & I would go to Lunch then Mall/or Khol’s/or Walmart/or the Dollar Store some of her favorite places.I loved spending time with her. This picture was taken at an outing to Olive Garden for the Salad 🥗 for Lunch/,then Khol’s. I miss the times we got to gossip & shop.
My Grandma 👵🏻 &I had a special bond. We laughed together, shared memories, & were brutally honest with one another.We sometimes drove each other crazy, but couldn’t stay mad each other for long. We watched movies together, sat outside, & talked. I would do her Nails 💅 if she was not up to go get them done. She had a heart ♥️ of gold, & made everyone feel at ease.
Everyone who knew her felt like she was with a mother or grandmother to them as well.She had a tough life early on, but never let it stop her from living her life. She had a zest for life. 
Not one day will go by that I will not cherish the time I spent with her.
I have to always let her memory live on. She is now with a lot of people that passed on that meant everything to me such as my Grandpa, & my Aunt Beth( her daughter) just to name a few.They now are the lucky ones to get to have her with them all the time. They needed her again, so this is what will bring me some sense of comfort.
Grandma 👵🏻 I love you to the moon 🌙,& back.Your memory will live on.
