Bill A. Whitfield

Bill Allen Whitfield, 79, of Scott, Arkansas passed away on May 17, 2019. He was born on February 25, 1940, in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Grady and Myrtle Whitfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Grady Whitfield, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Norma Jean Dawson Whitfield, three sons Kenneth (Tanya) Whitfield of Little Rock, Donald (Tanya) Whitfield of Bryant, Billy (Stacy) Whitfield of Scott, and one daughter Denise Mitchell of Austin, Arkansas. He is also survived by a brother Jack (Betty) Whitfield, three sisters Frances Smith, Martha (L.H. Sonny) Mathews, Stella (Rick) Miranda, 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Bill was a kind man who looked for the good in everyone. He was self-employed most of his life in the trucking business. He was blessed to have a mother who prayed for him. It was through prayer and his faith in Jesus that sustained him though out his life. The family would like to thank the staff of Chambers Nursing Home for the special care that Bill received.
