Msgt.Charles Edison Kent Sr., retired decorated veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars,age 90, of Searcy, Arkansas passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022. Charles was born November 2, 1931 in Tremont, Mississippi. A devoted and loving husband and father.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years Carol Jean Kent; daughters, Mary Bennett, Shirley Hager, Kelly Epley and Tina Smith; son Charles (Julie) Kent Jr; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Charlie was predeceased by his parents Gilmore & Mildred Kent, brothers Johnny and Lowery, sister Mildred Stone, a son and 2 grandsons.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, June 10, 2022 from 1PM to 2PM at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72117, where funeral services will follow at 2PM. A committal service will follow with Military Honors at Rest Hills Memorial Park, North Little Rock.
