Charlotte Lorraine Pound

Charlotte Lorraine Allbritton was born on July 4, 1947. She was raised in central California until her marriage to Paul E. Pound in 1966. After their marriage, the couple moved to Southern California and there they raised three wonderful children.

Charlotte was a devout Apostolic Pentecostal and served the Lord with gladness from the age of 15 years to the end of her life.

She is preceded in death by her husband Paul and her youngest child, Cherilyn Simpson who sleep awaiting the trumpet sound.

Sis. Pound is survived by her son, Brent Pound and his wife, Darla of Mesquite, TX. Daughter, Yvonne and her husband, Pastor Floyd Flowers of Jacksonville, AR. Son-in-love, Dave Simpson of Redlands, CA. She leaves behind a precious granddaughter, Ciara Lorrayne Flowers and four beloved grandsons, Andrew James Flowers, Brennan Paul Pound, Jackson Paul Pound and Ryan Paul Pound.

She also leaves several brothers and sisters, nephews, nieces, cousins, a beloved church family and a host of friends.

Charlotte loved her God, the Lord Jesus Christ and loved serving Him. She served the Lord with gladness and was faithful in whatever capacity she was called upon to work. Music and singing were a large part of her life.

She loved her family and family traditions. Loved being with her children and grandchildren playing games or just celebrating life’s seasons.

Writing was one of Sis. Pound’s most beloved pastimes and a great ministry. She has many published writings. She was an extraordinary teacher. She’s taught many Sunday classes of various age groups from young teens to college/career during her life. She loved teaching one-on-one Bible studies to hungry people.

Sis. Pound loved the Word of God. In her numerous books, drama scripts, curriculum and magazine articles, she always reflected her faith and confidence in God’s Holy Word. She used it as a foundation to enlighten and inspire readers and students.

She highly valued the godly, Apostolic men that God gave her as pastors which guided her in the things of God from early years to the end of her life. These men included Rev. Murray Layne, Rev. Gerald Buxton, Rev. Larry Booker and Rev. Floyd Flowers, Jr.

One of Sis. Pound’s favorite scriptures was Psalms 27:1 “The Lord is my Light and my Salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
