Elnora, Smith Cranford, age 102, passed away May 14, 2026, in North Little Rock, AR. She was born on December 20, 1923, in Mount Vernon, AR to George Washington Smith, and Viola Baker Smith. She entered the Airforce on March 17, 1944, and was honorably discharged February 5, 1946 as Army Airforce. She was Past Worthy Matron of the George Thornburg order of the Eastern Star, and White Shrine. Alongside her husband, she was co-owner of Earl’s Café for over three decades. After retirement she fulfilled a lifelong dream of going to college and acquiring her associates degree. She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Leo Smith; sisters Joyce Smith Sanders, and Unice Inez Smith.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two daughters, Glenda Cranford, and Judy McKinney; granddaughter, Tiffanie (Kevin) Nelson; and one grandson, Alexander Nelson.
She will always be remembered for her love and devotion for God, family and country.
Services will be held on Wednesday May 20, 2026, at Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM with Funeral Service at 2:00 PM, followed by burial at 3:00 PM.
