Gary Stephen Layton

Gary was born on July 11, 1962, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, to Bill and Patricia Layton, who preceded him in death. He grew up surrounded by family and friends and carried that strong sense of connection throughout his life.

Gary was a father to his sons, Zachary Layton (Shelby) of Midland, Texas, James Layton of Heber Springs, Arkansas, and Jonathan Layton of Phoenix, Arizona. His pride in his boys was evident to all who knew him, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

He is also survived by his brothers, Chris Layton (Dossie) of North Little Rock and Jeff Layton (Beth) of Conway, Arkansas. Gary shared a lifelong bond with his family, one built on loyalty, humor, and countless memories.

Gary had a true passion for the outdoors. He especially loved fishing on Lake Ouachita, where he found peace and joy in nature. Whether on the water or spending time with those he loved, Gary lived life in a way that reflected his easygoing spirit and kind heart.

Gary will be remembered for his warmth, his love of family, and his appreciation for the simple things in life. He will be missed terribly by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held on June 12th at 6:00 PM at Mt. Harbor.
