Jane Jaye Womack passed on April 16, 2026, at the age of 65. She was born on September 25, 1960, in Blytheville, AR, to the late Colonel John and Jane Watson. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in passing by her sister-in-law, Karen Henderson; as well as her beloved dachshunds, Sarge, Gunner, Molly, Lulu, and Buster.
For 36 years, Jane served at Baptist Medical Center, where her steadfast devotion to her work left a lasting impact felt throughout the medical community of Little Rock. In a profession that calls for both skill and heart, she offered both: meeting others with compassion, generosity of spirit, and a quiet strength that never sought recognition.
Jane was married to her husband for 39 years, and together they shared a life marked by devotion. They especially cherished beach vacations, drawn again and again to the peace of the shoreline. Jane adored the beach and the ocean, finding in them a calm beauty that suited her steady nature. She was also a very devoted member of Pinnacle Church of Christ and took joy in following the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Dallas Cowboys.
Above all, Jane will be remembered for the way she carried herself through hardship. Even after years of suffering, she never complained about her situation, choosing instead to focus on how it affected others. Her resilience was matched by her kindness, and her faithful, selfless concern for those around her remains a legacy that will not be forgotten.
Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband, Steve Womack; brother, Dr. Rickey Carson; sisters, Sha Carson, Cathy (Mark) Moseley; brother, Mike Watson; brother-in-laws, Kenny Henderson and Tom Stringfellow; sister-in-laws, Pam Stringfellow and Debbie Henderson; lifelong friend, Donna Gray; as well as many other beloved family members and friends.
Visitation will be held at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR 72117, US, on April 24, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, with the Funeral Service beginning at 10:00 am. Jane will be laid to rest at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
The family asks that memorial donations be made in Jane’s name to Pinnacle Church of Christ.
