Janet Cook

Janet Lynn Bowlby Cook, 67, resident of North Little Rock, Arkansas departed this life Monday, July 24, 2023. She was born November 23, 1955. She was the daughter of Curtis Junior and Esther Bowlby, of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Janet graduated from Arthur’s Beauty College, she owned and operated “Hair Designs” in Sherwood, serving much of her community. Her ultimate calling was nursing. She was a graduate of the Baptist School of Nursing where she began her nursing career as a Registered Nurse. She worked at Arkansas Hospice serving those with end of life care. She was Director of Nursing at Pleasant Valley Living Center. She retired from St. Vincent Medical Center- North.

She is survived by her husband, Scott L. Cook of Sherwood, Arkansas. Her son Michael and his wife, Amy Cook. Her daughter Miss Casey JoAnn and husband Casey R. Auvil of Bridgeport, WV. Grandsons, Matthew Dylan Auvil of Stonewood, WV, Jack David Cook of Vilonia. Granddaughter, Jillian Ann Conrad of Searcy. Siblings: sister, Phyllis and husband Ron Lawrenz of Southaven, MS, brother, David Bowlby of North Little Rock. Cousins: Dennis Tollefson and wife Laurie, Oak Ridge,TN, Brenda Weaver of Wilmington, North Carolina. Nephews: David Cook and wife Beth of Las Vegas, NV, Greg Lawrenz and wife Jennifer, their daughters, Charlotte and Emilia, all from Düsseldorf, Germany. Brian and Kristina Lawrenz of Memphis, TN and their daughter, Lena.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Jamie Michelle Cook Conrad, and brother, Tommy Bowlby.

Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 4, 2023 at 10am at Bayou Meto Baptist Church, 26200 AR-107, Jacksonville, AR, 72076.

Family will have a private burial service.
