Melba “Jane” Hackworth Reisinger was born on January 29th, 1938, to Edna Jane Brown and Hershel Hackworth in Dalton, Arkansas. She moved to Myrtle, Missouri with her grandparents and finished her schooling there, graduating as Salutatorian in 1955. Afterwards, she moved to St. Louis for work. There, she met Don Reisinger in March of 1957. They married on June 28th and were together until his death in 1989. After several moves, they called North Little Rock home. Jane worked in mortgage lending and began to travel for work, but her favorite job was being “Granny” to her three grandchildren.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, Joseph Hackworth, and her husband of 32 years, Donald Reisinger. She is survived by her two daughters, Cindy Church (Mike), Donna Reisinger, grandchildren Sarah Curley (Nathan), and Chris Church (Katie), all of North Little Rock, and grandson Ryan Ennis (Brianne) of Carrollton, Texas; brothers Jerry Hackworth (Kathy) of Dalton, and Max Hackworth (Peggy) of Jonesboro, her favorite niece, Denise Corressell (Al), and numerous other nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Lakewood Health and Rehab, especially Laura Webb, and Kindred Hospice Care, as well as Dr. Robert Stanley and Dr. Thomas Sneed.
A private memorial will be held at Griffin Leggett in North Little Rock and she will lay at Rest Hills Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society or your favorite charity.
