Muriel "Nanny" Ellen Johnson

Muriel Ellen "Nanny" Johnson, 88, of Lonoke passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Coy, Arkansas on September 6, 1931 to parents George and Fannie Cauley.

Nanny married Bobby J. Johnson and together they raised a family of six children that has grown to include 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She worked at Maybelline on the lipstick production line for over 18 years until her retirement.

She is preceded in death by her parents, nine of her brothers and sisters and her husband, Bobby J. Johnson. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Diane Tippit of Scott, Wayne & Lesha Johnson of Lonoke, Karen & Allen Cole of Lonoke, Jimmy and Lisa Johnson of Cabot, Sharron & Sammy Bolin of Scott and Jo Ellen & Tony Cooper of Lonoke, her twelve grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren and brothers Larry Cauley, George Cauley and Gary Cauley.

A visitation service will be held from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, November 14th at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, NLR. Funeral service will be at the funeral home at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 15th with burial immediately following in Rest Hills Memorial Park. Pastor Gary Bearden and Terry Johnson will officiate. Serving as pallbearers are Chad Johnson, Brad Johnson, Richard Carlock, Zach Tippit, Chris Skaggs and Chris Cole.
