She was born to Dallas and Tidy Bell Powell. Nadine found her greatest joy in caring for others, especially during her time working at a daycare, which she often said was her favorite job. She had a natural gift with children and a heart that was always open to those in need.
Nadine is survived by her daughters, Monica of Arkansas and Angie of West Virginia; her son, “Hot Rod” of West Virginia; her granddaughters, April Brasher, Brittany (Chris) Riley, Katie (Joseph) Edwards, Madison Harpole and Sofia Harpole; her grandsons, Donnis (Karen) Brasher, Dennis Brasher, Josh (Kayla) Harpole, and Gabriel Harpole; and ten great-grandchildren: Micheal, Kadence, Summer, Gabby, Sandra, Henry, Emily, Emma, Jaxson and Ryder.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Veletta Gilmore; her son, Eugene Harpole; and her siblings, Billy, Joyce, Bobby, Helen, and Betty.
Nadine’s greatest joy in life was loving and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking and bringing people together through her meals. She will be remembered as one of the sweetest and kindest souls you could ever meet—someone who loved deeply and cared for everyone around her.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
