He was born December 26, 1934, in North Little Rock to the late Harvey E. Crabtrey and Gertrude Crabtrey-Holloway.
Richard worked many years for New-Age Distribution and was very dedicated to his customers.
He loved going fishing, chuckwagon racing and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 57 years, Mary L. Crabtrey of Austin; four children, Richard H. Crabtrey, Jr., Ricky (Pam) Crabtrey of Ward, Robert Crabtrey of Ward, and Sheila (Richard) Davis of Austin; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Kristina, Sidney, Emily, Amy, Carrie, and Chris; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Lonnie (Edith) Crabtrey of Grape Vine; two nephews, Lonnie Ray of Grape Vine and Randy Crabtrey of Little Rock; and one niece, Susan Crabtrey of Boyer.
He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Crabtrey and a granddaughter, Whitney Crabtrey of Helena, Montana.
Visitation will be Friday, October 26, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and funeral service on Saturday, October 27, at 12:00 p.m., both at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills in North Little Rock. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
