

Terri Rhea Steinmetz, 60, of North Little Rock was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on September 30, 1955 to the late Cecil and Lillian “June” Steinmetz. On July 26, 2016 the word lost a brilliant, charitable, loyal and giving woman. She was devoted to her family; they were the reason for all that she did. She had many accomplishments in life but spending time with her family was her greatest passion and joy of all. She is survived by her partner Kathy Boone and her children Hailey Scott (Chris Strawser) and Joseph Windom Scott all of North Little Rock. As well as her sister, Robyn Steinmetz (Lisa Bomar) and her brother Mike Steinmetz also of North Little Rock. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Brady Williams and Eli Strawser, and Aunts Betty Cathey and Wanda Windom. Other survivors include a host extended family and friends. She was known by all for her kindness, thoughtfulness and her gentle smile that will be missed by all. She had a passion for her work which took her all over the world. She also loved fast cars, watching football, Barbara Streisand and was a caregiver to animals, especially kitty cats. When she was younger she excelled in sports especially tennis and softball. She was of Methodist faith. After graduating from the University of Central Arkansas with degrees in mathematics and computer sciences, Terri worked in professional positions before starting as a software developer with Systematics, a software and processing company for financial institutions with headquarters in Little Rock, AR. As Systematics became ALLTEL Information Services and now FIS Global, Terri held various management positions with global responsibilities. Terri managed application development and customer relationships through technical and generational changes in her 37+ years with the Company, including development of applications using the forerunner of today's online technologies. She was also one of the developers for the first application software to drive Automated Teller Machines (ATMs). She was the Company's key account manager for what is now, JP Morgan Chase in New York, New York. As the Company grew and expanded, her responsibilities included global travel to China and other countries, serving customers in international markets. She was currently serving as a Senior Technology Strategy Manager for FIS. Terri was a mentor and friend to countless employees and people. She was a hardworking, honest, and fair manager who valued the customers with whom she worked. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 2:00 in the Chapel of Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd. in North Little Rock. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Services will be officiated by Reverend Allan Greer.
