Bill was married to Nancy C Dunlap, also from West Virginia, and they had three sons, William “Steve”, Bryan and Eric.
Bill was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran with 21-years of service (1975). While in the U.S. Air Force, Bill was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with four oak leaf clusters and the Air Force Commendation medal, among other personal and unit awards during his career. After retirement, Bill went on to work at Arkansas Modification Center in Little Rock and North Point Mazda in North Little Rock.
Bill and Nancy lived in Jacksonville, Arkansas for many years with their three sons. After Nancy’s passing, Bill moved to Ward, Arkansas and was known for keeping a watchful eye on his neighborhood. Bill enjoyed the outdoors and was happiest just hanging out enjoying the weather. Bill never met a stranger and always had a story to share. Bill will be missed by his family, friends and neighbors.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Dunlap of 47 years.
He is survived by his sons, William “Steve” Dunlap of Henderson Texas, Bryan (Mary) Dunlap of Gulfport Mississippi, and Eric (Jennifer) Dunlap of Ward Arkansas. Granddaughters Melissa Dunlap of Texas and Natasha McNew of Arkansas and great-granddaughter Ashlyn McNew of Arkansas.
