Leila K Shuminer

On September 12th Leila Shuminer passed away peacefully. Born in 1933 in Irvington, New Jersey she made her home in Miami since 1957. A woman of extraordinary kindness & compassion Leila first and foremost focused on family - from her Husband of 62 years, Bernie her children, Alan, Jeff and Gordon & grandchildren, Erika, Julian, Daniel, Skylar & Mark her capacity for love was broad. The same enthusiasm she brought to her personal life - she brought to bare in her professional career. She forged an impressive work life and truly broke through the glass ceiling representing an exemplary example for professional woman within & outside the financial services industry .

A Humanist who touched all she met hers was a life exemplified by her deep personal relationships developed with family, friends and business peers over her lifetime. Li - Mom - Baba Leila- in whatever capacity- will be deeply & forever missed.

The Funeral will be held at Riverside Gordon at 1230 pm - 20955 Biscayne Boulevard, Aventura, FL on Monday the 15th of September. Following the Service Internment will be at Beth EL Cemetery located in Hollywood - 4900 Griffin Road, Davie, FL . The Family will be sitting Shiva at: 1800 NE 114th Street at the Cricket Club. The Family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Children’s Home Society of Florida.
