Mariam Veronica Fawaz

Mariam was born into a big family being the fourth child of twelve siblings. She attended Our Lady of Guadalupe in Lunsar where she completed secondary school.

Later Mariam went on to marry her one and only true love Hussine Fawaz in 1959. Mariam was a skilled seamstress by profession known for her beautiful and elegant wedding gowns. Mariam, as she would say, was a “jack of all trades". She was not only a seamstress, but later graduated from Robert Fiance School of Cosmetology in Miami Florida. After finishing school, she opened her own Cosmetology business for several years. She also founded her own daycare in Virginia.

Mariam Fawaz was more than her professional accomplishments; Mariam was known for her advice. People seek out Mariam for her words of wisdom. Mariam was the ultimate mother. God bless her with an intellectual savviness to provide the best solution. You might not like what Mariam had to say but her demeanor and big heart would always be of best interest.

She was a mother to all including family and friends. She introduces herself as "Mama" because now you have inherited a mother for life. Mariam was a praying woman of dignity, respect, and faith. She instilled those important values into her family. Mariam would wake up every morning to pray and send blessings to the whole family. Once you meet Mariam you instantly know this is a woman of God. Mariam was the word, and the word was Mariam.

Mariam was predeceased by her husband Hussine Fawaz, son Hassan Fawaz, and her granddaughter Faith Anthony. Mariam's legacy carries on through her four children; Kelly Fawaz, Angela Moon (Fawaz), Kelvin Fawaz, and John Fawaz; Mariam had three other daughters she deeply cared and co-raised when their mother sent them to Miami her nieces Hannah, Edna(late), and Samina.

Karen Koroma (Mama baby. She would call John to talk to her.)

Miles Anthony (mama second husband. He would work with his mom picking Mama up in and out of the car. Miles would also be mama watcher when Angela had to leave),

Toni Gaddy (mama would fight Toni but this was her last baby girl. Toni would co work with Angela on watching mama. Toni and Miles fought it out for mama love.)

Elijah Fawaz (mama would call him a brute and tell Mark this is not a human. This mama's last husband. Elijah would tell everyone that he is mama true caregiver. He would be by her side on the last day.).
