Marie Denise Mede Pamphile known by Yayi to many, was the daughter of the late Agenor Mede and Laura Tissy. She was born on August 24, 1935 in Meyotte Petion-Ville, Haiti. She was baptized at Premiere Eglise Baptiste de Meyotte in Haiti, led by Pastor Previlon Paul. She married her late husband, Martial Pierre Pamphile who was born and raised in Meyotte, Petion-Ville.
Yayi accepted Christ as her personal Savior in the year of 1972 and since then had became a fervent woman of God. Reading her Bible, paying her tithes, and praying to her Father was her passion.
Yayi moved to the USA in June 1994 where primarily, she would babysit children who are now in adulthood. They still consider her as their wonderful Grandma.
She touched the lives of everyone she encountered, not only with her smile and generosity, but also with a loving heart and an amazing sense of humor. Yayi impacted those that she was connected to by bringing happiness and laughter to their hearts. She opened her home and cared for friends and family. Her kitchen was never closed. She found pleasure in helping others.
She was a faithful member of Free Methodist Christian Community Church lead by Pastor Leonel Georges in Miami, Florida. She then later became a member of House of the Living God, North Miami where she attended almost all services including weekly morning prayer led by the late Dr. Mireille Michel Simon. She was a righteous woman who lived a healthy religious lifestyle.
She was preceded in death by, 3 sisters (Olga Mede, Yvette Laurent and Josephine Mede), and 1 daughter (Laura Joelle Pamphile).
Yayi leaves behind 2 brothers (Max B. Mede and Auguste Mede) 5 children (Denise Mede, Alfred Pamphile, Gina Pamphile-Paul, Judes Garry Pamphile and Darline Pamphile-Lacroix), sons and daughter in law (Jean Bernard Paul, Pastor Alex Lacroix and Rachèle Sanon Pamphile) her grandchildren (Berndgie Paul, Shnardy Paul, Fagnole Jean Baptiste, Ariel Arnasalam, Christina Pamphile, Darlene Pamphile, Darryl Pamphile, Britney Ariana Pamphile, Victoria Gloria Lacroix and Josue-Daniel Lacroix), 1 great-grandchild (Kameryn Jeuel Watson), nieces, & nephews and a host of extended family (The Pamphile family as well as the Mede family, Dalce family, Tassy family, Belizaire family, Paul family, Laurent family, Chancy family, Jerome family, Cazeau family, Alexandre family, Cadet family, & Germain family,) and friends who have been affected by this loss.
She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother whose greatest passion was helping others. May her soul rest in peace.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels, 17250 West Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach, Florida 33160 with a reception to follow at Par Lux Studio, 14708 NE 16th Avenue, North Miami, Florida 33161.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 10:00am in the House of the Living God, 13700 NE 10th Avenue, North Miami, Florida 33161 with the family receiving friend from 9:00am to 10:00am.
Interment to take place at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn Park West Cemetery, 14001 NW 178th Street, Miami, Florida 33018
Repast will be back at the House of the Living God Church, 13700 NE 10th Avenue, North Miami, Florida 33161.
