Elizabeth Land Faircloth

Faircloth, Elizabeth (Libby) L, 91, passed away peacefully after a courageous struggle with health problems March 2, 2014. The daughter of Joseph & Mary Land was born November 13, 1922 and grew up in Smithtown Long Island, New York. While working as a baby nurse for the Weld family in West Palm Beach, Florida, Libby volunteered at the Army Hospital to write letters for wounded soldiers. She fell in love and married the late O.H. Faircloth while he recovered from critical injuries sustained during WWII. After marriage she was preceded in death by brother Joseph, infant daughter Mary Ann and grandson, Vernie Seaquist. She is survived by children Catherine(Peter)Powanda of North Miami Beach, FL, Deborah(Vern)Seaquist Sr of Rapid River, MI, Joseph (Debbie) Faircloth, Miami, FL grandchildren, Joseph Jr (Dawn) Faircloth, Krissy (Todd) Sherwood. Peter Powanda Jr, David (Kathy) Faircloth, Michael Powanda, great-grandchildren, Stephen, Kaitlyn, KiKi, Courtney Faircloth, Sean, Riley, Courtney Sherwood sister Margaret Tyrkala, sister-in-law Pauline Faircloth and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
