

Born on August 13, 1942, in Fond-des-Blancs, Haiti, Rosita carried the warmth and strength of her homeland throughout her life. Her unwavering spirit, generous heart, and deep faith were the foundation of her family, creating a legacy of love and devotion that will forever be treasured.
Rosita dedicated her life to caring for others as a certified nursing assistant. Outside of her profession, she was known for her talent and passion for sewing. Above all, Rosita loved the Lord with all her heart, soul, and strength. She was a God-fearing woman and a truly wonderful wife and mother who would put her whole heart, sweat, and tears into anything she did for those she loved. She will be remembered for her immense generosity and her tireless commitment to her family. We will miss you greatly. Mommy, we love you always.
Rosita was preceded in death by her husband, Jocelyn Gilles and her family members, John Vilsaint, Marie Julie Vilsaint Charpentier, and Julna Vilsaint Calice.
She is survived by her devoted children, Evena Tina Gilles Bowden, Teger Gilles, and Patrick Gilles. Rosita was a beloved mother-in-law to George Bowden and Vanessa Guilani. Her greatest joy was her three precious grandchildren: Jayla Gabrielle Bowden, Brianna Alexis Bowden, and Giselle Mia Gilles.
She also leaves behind her beloved sisters and brother: Eugenie Vilsaint Moreau, Madelene Vilsaint Pierre-Louis, and Roland Vilsaint, along with an abundance of cherished nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
