As an entrepreneur, Zeb was a real estate investor and property manager. In the 1990's he would come visit with his Uncle Livingston Rolle (aka Uncle Cunch), the family real estate broker with an office in Overtown. He would research his deals on apartment buildings he wanted to buy and come and talk them over with Uncle. He would come by between jobs and get info on forms to manage his tenants. He was the DYI guy in the family and prided himself on doing his repairs. But Zeb was also the network guru! He had friends that knew how to do everything! He was known as a good landlord who took care of his properties!
Professionally, Zebulun dedicated 23 years of service as a educator with Dade County Public Schools, impacting countless young lives. He also worked at Eastern Airlines from 1978 to 1989 as a Cleaner and Mechanic, showcasing his versatility and strong work ethic.
In 2012, Zebulun embraced his faith and became a Christian. His favorite Old Testament scripture was Psalm 23, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want," words that surely provided comfort during his challenging final years. Also special thanks to Norma Martini, Andre Payne, Marie Philossiant for their support.
Those who knew Zeb well recall his passion for working on old cars, particularly his beloved 1957 Chevy, a hobby that brought him great joy and satisfaction.
His journey in this life was marked by resilience, particularly during his final 13 years when he lived as a quadriplegic following a tragic accident. Throughout this difficult chapter, he was blessed with the extraordinary devotion and care of his sister, Magalean Burrows, whose unwavering care sustained him in his final years.
Though his physical abilities were limited in his later years, Zebulun's capacity for gratitude and his ability to inspire those around him remained boundless. His life reminds us of the strength found in family bonds and the power of compassionate care.
