Donald graduated from City College of New York and received his MBA from NYU. He was in Financial Management at IBM for 34 years until retiring in 1991.
Donald is survived by Elsa, his beloved wife of 40 years. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Colt; sister-in-law Marcia Colt; and nephew, Jerome Colt. Donald is survived by his beloved daughter, Jill Colt and her fiancé, Christopher Gallagher; son, Gerald Colt and his wife Corine; and nieces, Andrea Bournias and Elyse Hurley.
He had a passion for travel, history, politics, art, crosswords and reading. Prior to moving to Florida, he was a board member of The American Red Cross Rappahannock Area Chapter, and a board member of The AARP Fredericksbrug Chapter 3396.
The family invites donations in Donald's name to United Way of Palm Beach County. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 18th at the home of Jill Colt & Christopher Gallagher.
