Donna Joan Gibb

Hello Family & Friends ,

Today we gather - whether in person or in spirit - to celebrate and honor the incredible life of Joanie Gibb.

Joanie was an exceptional woman, full of intelligence, strength, and a radiant spirit. Born in Canada, she later made her way to California, where she met and married the love of her life, Buzz Gibb. Together, they shared an extraordinary and adventurous

journey - traveling the world, embracing life to the fullest, and diving into numerous business ventures along the way.

One of the most memorable chapters in her story was her involvement with the Thunderbird Lodge and ownership of the Thunderbird Boat. Joanie lit up whenever she spoke about the Thunderbird - it held a special place in her heart. That passion was so reflective of who she was: someone who gave her all to the things - and people - she cared about. She also had a huge part in the development of the Tahoe City Marina.

Joanie was deeply devoted to everything she took on. She was smart, determined, and always carried herself with strength and grace. She wore many hats in life - stepmother to Robin, Gary, Jeff and Jordan Gibb, a beloved sister, a treasured aunt, and a dear friend to many. She was also a sharp and savvy businesswoman, respected by all who worked with her.

Though Joanie wished for no celebration or tribute, we felt it was only right to honor her today. She did so much for so many, and we want her to know just how deeply she was loved and appreciated.

Joanie, we thank you. For the laughter, the wisdom, the adventures, and the Love! You will be forever missed and always remembered.

We love you Joanie.
