

Eileen Hersh Schilling, a young at heart 82 year old, died November 19, 2016. Eileen was in the care of Trustbridge Hospice of Palm Beach County following a brief illness. She was loved by many friends and family members and will be dearly missed.
She was born in Weehawken, NJ, on May 5, 1934 to the late James Bradley and Elizabeth Jordan Bradley. She is survived by her sister, Sharon Bradley Smits, of Pennsylvania.
Eileen married her high school sweetheart, Earl M. Hersh Jr., in June of 1953. They raised a family of four children together until his passing in 1970; Deborah (John) from North Carolina, Earl III (Sabrina) from Texas, Kevin (Rita) from New Jersey, and Chuck (Joy) from South Carolina.
In 1977, Eileen married her high school friend, Helmut M. Schilling (deceased 2002) and added three step-sons to the family; Mark (Taryn) from New Jersey, Bruce (Julie) from Wisconsin, and Paul from New Jersey.
She was blessed by 16 grandchildren - Sabrina, Julianne, Kayla, Christine, Elijah, Kelly, Melissa, Courtney, Charles, Lindsey, Mark Jr., Samantha, Chloe, David, Maria and Jennifer.
Eileen was also thrilled to have six great-grandchildren; Lola, Emma, Sam, Eleanor, Marie and Quin.
When Eileen wasn’t travelling around the country visiting family, she was likely travelling the world. She favored cruises and travelled to every continent, including taking the inaugural cruise of the Queen Elizabeth II, and an around the world cruise.
On her travel breaks, Eileen served on boards of multiple civic service organizations, including hospital boards and the Elks Auxiliary. She also volunteered her services on the board of her condominium for 20 years.
Eileen had a full vivacious 82 years and touched many lives. Please enter your remembrances and stories in the online guest book. The family welcomes friends to a time of visitation, followed by a brief service on December 2, 2016 at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral Center between one and four o’clock in the afternoon.
