Howard "Howie" John Sloan

Passed away on July 10, 2021 in North Palm Beach, Florida at the age of 79. Howie was born on November 12, 1941 in Elmira, New York. He married the love of his life, Roseanne Sloan (Delapp) on October 30, 1969. They celebrated 51 loving years together. Howie retired from Howard’s Nursery, a plant nursery he owned and operated for over 15 years. He loved horticulture, playing guitar, taking walks, and watching NASCAR.

Howard will be greatly missed by his loving wife Roseanne Sloan; his son Howard John Sloan, II and wife Patricia, daughter Kim Smith and husband Brian; grandchildren Michael Dillon and wife Ashley, Andrew Dillon and wife Theresa, Michelle Travis and husband Adam, Katelyn Sloan and fiancé Marcus Peworchik, Chelsey Riddle and husband Marshall, Brian Smith, Jr.; great-grandchildren James Dillon, Harrison Dillon, Alaina Dillon, Olivia Dillon, Madilyn Dillon, Johnathan Castle, Dillon Travis and Wade Travis; Nephews Joe Joseph Hilla, Sherman Sloan and Scott Sloan.

He was preceded in death by his parents Wallace Sloan and Viola Fields (Formerly Sloan), children Cynthia Dillon (Formerly Sloan) and Edward Sloan; his brother Sherman Sloan and his sister Marcia Hilla (Formerly Sloan).

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 16 from 11 AM with funeral services to begin at 12 Noon, Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral and Event Center, 754 US Highway 1, North Palm Beach, Florida. Entombment will be held at 2:30 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach.
