Age 90, of Palm Beach Gardens, went home to be with Our Lord and his wife, Maria Florio Lindley, on November 24, 2011. James was born on September 27, 2011, in Atlanta Georgia, to parents Guy and Elsie Lindley. He resided in the Palm Beaches for the last thirty two years.
James served in the United States Army, in Africa and Italy, during World War II. It was in Naples, Italy, where he met love and bride, Maria. James was a professional Bookbinder, an artist to the end, and a life-long member of the AFLCIO-GICU. He lived a long Catholic Christian life.
James is survived by his loving daughter; Emilia Anna Lindley-Young (James, who loved and respected him to the end), son; Guy T. Lindley (Ginger), grandchildren; Jamie, Jennifer, Jessica, Jonathan, Joseph and Jason, great grandchildren; Logan, Lany, Camy, Bodhi and Ever, nephew; Warren, niece; Emily, and numerous other nieces and nephews in the United States, Europe and Australia.
A graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 6411 Parker Ave., West Palm Beach, FL, on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, 100 Century Blvd., West Palm Beach, FL 33417.
