78, of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away on August 31, 2017.
He was born on June 10, 1939 to Francis James McConville and Gladys Estelle Holmes-McConville in Queens , NY, and grew up in Baldwin, NY.
Jim graduated from Chaminade High School in Mineola, NY, and received a BS Economics degree from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT in 1961.
He was married to his wife Amy who predeceased him on December 31, 2007.
Jim was the National Account Manager for The Retirement University, and had previously worked at AT&T, Avaya, and NACR.
Jim was an enthusiastic actor and a supportive and active member of several community theater companies. Jim was very proud of his work on a number of plays with community theater groups in South Florida, and of his performance in the In Sanity, Florida web series.
He is survived by his children, Jean, Jay, and Wendi, his daughters-in-law, Susan and Gina, and his grandchildren, Jake, Colin, Katelyn, and Jimmy; cousins George Livingstone, Elsie Nicholson, Betty Nicholson, and Ralph Vacchiano, husband of the late Carole.
A Celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Saturday, October 7th at 10am with reception to follow at Howard Quattlebaum Funeral and Event Center. Jim will be inurned at Riverside Memorial Park in Tequesta, Florida.
