

On Sunday, August 30, 2015, Janice Cowan, 67, passed away in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, after a courageous battle with cancer. Janice was born December 10, 1947 in McKeesport, PA. She graduated from Ohio State University and was a Spanish teacher in Palm Beach County for 28 years. Janice touched the lives of so many people. She was a beautiful person on the inside and out and always had a positive attitude and a smile on her face. Her courage and bravery in the face of such a difficult and frightening illness was inspiring. She was a true superwoman and fought bravely until the very end. Janice was the daughter of Ferne Teper, Denver, CO and the late Milton Teper. In addition to her mother, Janice is survived by her beloved daughters, Marli (Todd) Sperry, Marietta, GA and Tara Cowan, Atlanta, GA as well as her two grandchildren, Braden and Alexa Sperry, Marietta, GA. She also leaves behind her devoted and loving partner of 25 years, John Razook, Palm Beach Gardens, FL; his children, Jen and JJ Razook, Palm Beach Gardens, FL; her sister, Lara (Rob) Haigh, Morrison, CO; her brother, Gary (Barbara) Teper, Denver, CO; the father of her children and dear friend, Paul Cowan, West Palm Beach, FL; her best friend, Wendy Pertz, Winter Park, FL; her godson, Casey Ogden, Pompano Beach, FL as well as her niece and nephews. Lastly, Janice is survived by Kersten Johnson, North Palm Beach, FL, who she considered her third daughter. Services will be held at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 754 US Highway 1, North Palm Beach, FL Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 5:00PM.
