John G. Green Sr.

Age 75, of Riviera Beach, passed away on December 15, 2010. Born in Pawling, New York he resided in Carmel, NY before moving to Florida 22 years ago. He was a railroad engineer for Metro North in NY for 35 years before his retirement. He was an Army veteran. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, a Eucharistic minister, a reader and usher. He was Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council #4999, and Past Exalted ruler of the Elks Lodge in Brewster, NY.

John is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley Ann Green, his children, Pamela Lawson and husband Paul of West Palm Beach, Cindylee Reilly and husband Robert of Royal Palm Beach, Wendy Lynn Gerbes and husband Richard of New Windsor, NY, Tracy Green-Smith and husband Robert, Jr. of Palm Beach Gardens, John G. Green, Jr and wife Michelle of Palm Beach Gardens; grandchildren, Sonia, Kaila and James McSpedon, Robert, Elizabeth and Jillian Reilly, Patrick, Megan and John Gerbes, Victoria and Alexandria Vanzo, Jessica and Hailey Smith, and John and Emily Green. Great grandchildren, Logan and Kira Hinton, and Piper York Maurice.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 17, 2010 from 2-4, and 6-8 PM at the Howard-Price Funeral Home. Mass of the Resurrection will be on Saturday,10 AM at St. Francis of Assisi. Interment will be in Mahopac Falls, NY.
