Dear Ones: Bob and I are thinking of you on this very sad day. Words cannot express how much we miss his wonderful smile,laugh and sense of humor. He was one of the kindest people  I’ve ever known and a true friend for those who were blessed to know him. 
He will be missed forever but we hold dear all the memories of all the years we knew and loved him. 
Our hearts go out to you and pray that as time goes on,you can only remember the grand times and all the fun and love you shared .

I'm blown away with the loss of my good friend Johnny.  We had a lot of laughs at the Point and our southern homes in Troy, hanging out at our "elite" Somerset Golf Club (dues $10) and always trying to find the best breakfast special on Woodward Ave.

Our times at the Point will always be in my memory bank.  There were his numerous calls to meet him at the driving range.  It didn't help my game but Johnny sure improved.  There was always our trash talk on Monday mornings with the Tom, John, John and John
group (Lutz, Korth, Sertich and Marshall),  riding around in the Hutchmobile solving the world's problems and of course the Thursday breakfast group at B's.

Johnny always had the right approach to life - laugh a lot and hold your family close.  I miss him.


My heartfelt condolences to Cheryl, Scot, Joe, Heather, Joseph and the Korth Family .....

Since meeting John & Cheryl  in 2017, they have welcomed me into their home, sharing numerous memories of family and friends, most notably of almost a lifetime of summers at The Point .....
Over the short time, I have been able to put a few faces with some of the characters in their stories, which often involved a John prank or two .....
I too have fell victim at times, as it seems he was quite a notorious prankster .....
More prolific  than his pranks, was John's devotion to Cheryl .....
It was quite evident she was his heart 💔 .....
The picture I'm sharing was taken the first time I met Scot & Joe .....
It is a testament to who John was and the 'Home' he has built .....
Always smiling and congenital .... I can still hear him saying ..... Ok! 

John was by far ..... the easiest person I have met on this planet .....
May his memory live on in our hearts .....


So sorry to hear of John’s passing.  Fond memories of him at Huron Breeze.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of John.  He was a good friend with whom I played a lot of rounds of golf.  No matter how John was playing, he was always smiling and laughing.  He was a joy to golf with, and I will miss him dearly.

John would come to Huron Breeze ALWAYS  with a smile.I was Denny the cart guy and he always stopped to see how I was doing.We now know John is resting peacefully. He WILL be missed.

Scot and Joe,
In 2011 Corey and I pulled off the impossible and threw our mom a surprise 65th birthday party.  We learned your father was going to turn 60 a few days before and planned on not celebrating it.  Well, we had other plans.  Your father of course was a great sport and had a great time at the dual surprise party.  There will be several pictures uploaded of your father and one that was included to remind you how many friends your father had - not that you don't already know that but sometimes pictures really do say it all.

Cheryl, Scot and Joe,
I'm so sorry for your loss... there really aren't words.  He was my parents friend forever and I feel like I became a friend a few summers ago when he flipped me the bird :).  Not many people look forward to that, but when it came from your father it was practically a compliment! I'll miss his smile, laughter and the pranks he loved to pull on my mother.  My favorite was when he would walk over to visit my mom and pick some of her flowers to give as a gift. It never got old.  This is the first post of two.  I hope the second brings smiles and laughter.

I have a memory of John playing tennis in the open singles tennis tournament at Point Lookout.  His opponent was Dorta Glick. As John's dad, Howard, would describe her as full of "trickery and treachery".  She also was small and could run quickly on the court.  As the match began I watched the action and both were hitting a good ball.  Dorta tried to get a ball by John, but John anticipated the shot and returned it for a winner.  To make a long story short, John "blew Dorta" out and easily defeated her with his strength, court knowledge and his controlled ball hitting.  Hooray for my friend and neighbor at the point, John Korth.  He was a good neighbor over "lots of years".  

Mark and I were so sad to hear of John’s passing.  He will be deeply missed at Pt Lookout.  We send our love and prayers to the entire Korth family.  God Bless❤️

John was a friend of my dads and became a friend of mine. I always looked forward to seeing him at The Point every year and catching up. In the summer of 2000 I couldn't have asked for a better partner at the Calcutta and we went on to win the tournament that year largely due to how in synch we played as teammates. John leaves behind many friends and good memories in Au Gres, MI. 

Johnny was always  happy on a golf course with friends and Huron Breeze fit the bill. We will always remember his smile. To Cheryl and your family we offer our sincere condolences. Dale & Michelle.
