

He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Anelle Pestrichelli; his sons, Jay and his wife Lynn Pestrichelli, and Jimmy and his wife Kate Pestrichelli; and his grandchildren, Zander, Katie, and Will Pestrichelli, and Sarah, Abby, and Kevin Stowe. He is also survived by his brother-in-law John Mirenda and his wife Rosemary; his sister-in-law Janice Pestrichelli; and his many treasured nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alessandro and Stella Pestrichelli; his brothers, Bart Pestrichelli and Nick Mannella; and his sister, Ann Pestrichelli.
Born in Hackensack, New Jersey, John was a high school quarterback who led his team to a state championship in 1960. He lived in River Edge, New Jersey, for 50 years before moving to Florida. His career included earning many patents at Bell Labs, owning and operating the Wigwam Tavern in Teaneck, New Jersey, and later serving as a regional manager in Loss Prevention at Rite Aid until 2006.
John was the life of the party, known for his infectious laugh, love of Star Trek, and passion for restoring his Mustangs, both of which earned gold medallions. He was also a diehard New York Giants fan and was especially proud to have served on the Board of The Atrium of Palm Beach Shores. Above all, he will be remembered for his love of family and friends and the joy he brought to everyone around him.
John was a true patriot and was proud to have served in the U S Navy.
