

Judith Curley Colbath died Sunday, April 29, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born in Hingham, MA on December 5, 1935 of Watson and Josephine Curley. Eighth of nine children, Judy is survived by her husband, Walter Colbath Jr., stepchildren; Walter (Kristin) Colbath III, Jeffrey (Maryann) Colbath, both of Jupiter, FL and Stephanie Colbath of Orlando, FL; step grandchildren; Newell, Cameron, Kelly, Riley and Jason, sister; Virginia Ketchum of Riviera Beach, FL and brother; Donald (Jane) Curley of West Palm Beach, FL along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters; Eleanor Finn, Marie Magner, Patricia McKenzie and brothers; Watson Curley, Robert Curley and James Curley.
Judy was a member of the first graduating class of Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree, MA and valedictorian of the 1957 class of Emanuel College in Boston, MA. She was an orchid enthusiast, an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling and was a volunteer for the Mental Health Association, Hospice of Palm Beach County and Café Joshua. Judy had a wonderful Irish wit and will be sorely missed by her family and her many friends. She is now in a better place.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the Howard-Price Funeral Home, 754 US Hwy One, N.P.B., FL 33408 with a Scripture Service starting at 6:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Friday, May 4, 2012 at St. Clare Catholic Church, 821 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach, and FL 33408 with Fr. William D. O’Shea officiating. In lieu of flowers donations in her honor may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach or a favorite charity.
