Margaret Legge

MARGARET MACPHERSON LEGGE Margaret Macpherson Legge, age 79, of North Palm Beach, FL passed away on March 23, 2011. Daughter of the late George and Margaret Macpherson, she was born in Glen Cove, Long Island, NY and raised in White Plains, NY. She graduated from White Plains High School and attended Colby College where she was an active member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority. Always a devoted wife and mother, upon raising her family she embarked on a career with the Palm Beach County Elections Office as an Office Manager serving over 12 years before retiring in 1992. She was also an active member of the Alter Guild at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 48 years Alfred George Legge in August of 2000 and by her beloved sister Fiona in 2004. She is survived by her three children, Sheary Harris and husband, David, George Legge and wife, Lisa, Elizabeth Kaplowitz and husband, Kevyn; eight adored grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Trudy Lonsdale as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday March 26, 2011 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Palm Beach Gardens, FL with Father James Cook officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM until time of service. Entombment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park in Tequesta.
