Michael Gallo of Miami Beach, FL passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020 at the age of 81. A native of Columbus Ohio, He graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas HighSchool and attended Ohio State University. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Sharing deep roots with his grandparents and parents, Mickey was active in the operation of the family’s business, Gallo's Market.
The early 1950's brought the Gallo family to Miami, Florida where they established Gallo’s Restaurant. Mickey was primarily involved in the management of Gallo’s and various long held family real estate properties, all the while calling Miami home.
Beloved son of Eva and Philip and brother of Ronald, who preceded him in death, he is survived by his devoted sister Marlena Regalbuto of Palm Beach Gardens, his doting nieces and nephews Jason Regalbuto, Mark Regalbuto, Lauren Sadler and Marla Colavecchio, and his first cousin Philip Lord.
Mickey was dynamic and one of a kind. He never wore a watch and marched to the beat of his own drum. He was a true renaissance man with wide and varied interests. Mickey was strong, caring, talented, smart and unforgettable. We live on through the memories we leave behind and he gifted us the best memories. Fly with the angels, you are so loved and will never be forgotten!
