Salvatore Angelo Lucido, a Florida native, was taken home on February 11, 2026. He is survived by his wife Jessica, his son Anthony, and his daughter Isabella “Bella”. Born at Gardens Medical Center on February 6, 1971, to Alexander and Laurie Lucido who had recently moved from Michigan to Florida to build their life together. Salvatore, known by most as Sam, was followed by his younger brother Alexander a few years later in 1973. Sam’s Catholic upbringing led him to enrollment at St. Clare Catholic School – a place where he would go on to spend many hours throughout the rest of his life. Whether it was participation in Sunday Mass, receiving the sacraments, his own wedding or his own children’s education and faith, St. Clare’s was always involved. Sam went on to attend both Suncoast and Jupiter High School and ultimately achieved a degree in culinary arts from the Florida Culinary Institute.
Sam grew up in the construction business, starting at the age of 12, following in his contractor father’s footsteps. He spent a lifetime in custom cabinetry, design, and installation among many other talents for years. This family business truly began with the opening of Lucido Bros Construction in 1986 eventually renamed to Lucido Cabinetry that stayed in operation until 2010. Being the shop foreman, Sam ran the company side by side with his family throughout the years. During this time, he was able to touch and impact many lives. The work that was done at Lucido Cabinetry can still be found throughout Palm Beach County.
Sam met the love of his life Jessica years ago. They were married on May 23, 1998, and that marriage lasted nearly 30 years. With the unification of Sam and Jessica came his 2 children: his son Anthony in 2000 and his daughter Bella in 2003. Sam shared many loving and fun memories with his children in scouts, athletics, and volunteering. Anthony played baseball throughout most of his life and his number one and forever coach was his father. Bella tried her hand at baseball as well as soccer, both of which were headed up by Coach Sam!
Sam and his son were heavily involved in their Catholic faith. This led them to joining the Knights of Columbus Santa Maria Council 4999 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida on April 4, 2019. Sam was a beloved brother Knight and Inside Guard of the council. Sam became the council chef for a few years and developed many friendships with his fellow brother knights. Sam and Anthony both received their 4th degree knighthood on June 14, 2025.
Despite his medical journey over the past few years, Sam always kept his signature humor. Known for his jokes whether appropriate or not, he knew just what to say to keep a room lively and entertained. To those who met him, we hope you remember his larger-than-life laugh and heart of gold.
