After a long and beautiful life, Thomas Michael Eissey, 94, of North Palm Beach, FL, passed away on May 4, 2022.
Tommy was born July 9, 1927, in West Roxbury, MA to the late Michael T. Eissey and Lenda (Shalhoub) Eissey. However, he grew up in Palm Beach County, graduating from Palm Beach High in 1944. Tommy then enlisted in the United States Merchant Marines, where he proudly served in World War Il and was honorably discharged in 1946. After serving in the military, Tommy graduated with a degree in engineering from the University of Florida in 1951. Tommy eventually went on to become co-owner of Overland Construction Company and was responsible for building many of the structures that still stand in south Florida today. In 1976, Tommy married Thelma Rose Thompson, the dearest love of his life, with whom
he shared 20 wonderful years before her passing.
Tommy is survived by his beloved children, Tammy E. Pagella (Jon) and his son Thomas M. Eissey Jr.(Celia), as well as his adoring grandchildren, Brady Pagella and Ryker and Harper Eissey. Tommy is also survived by his sister Barbara Porcher, along with a treasure trove of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Tommy was predeceased by his brother, Edward M. Eissey, and his sister, Diana Eissey. Our sweetheart "Pal" will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held at St. Mary's Orthodox Church on Monday, May 9th from 6-8p.m., located at 1317 Florida Mango Rd. in West Palm Beach, as Tommy was the proud builder and long-time member of this beautiful church.
Funeral services will then be held on Tuesday, May 10th at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Mary's Orthodox Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Susan G. Komen.
