Thomas O. Phelps 64, of Palm Beach Shores, passed away June 12, 2010, after a long and courageous fight against cancer. Thomas was born in Hartford, Ct on June 5, 1946 to the late John H. Phelps and Elizabeth O. Phelps, she survives. Tom moved to Palm Beach Shores in 2005 from Indianapolis, Indiana. Very soon after moving to Palm Beach Shores Tom became very active in the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Tom is survived by his mother Elizabeth O. Phelps, his daughters, Elizabeth I. Phelps, Kathleen O. Rogers, son-in-law Jeffrey Rogers and two grandchildren, Evin and Sawyer, his sister Deborah and brother-in-law Ralph. Tom was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years Gale M. Phelps and his father John H. Phelps.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Monday, June 21, 2010 from 2-4PM with a Funeral Service at 4PM.Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Program in lieu of flowers. A burial at sea will take place for both Tom and Gale by the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
