

Zorarda Krizan Buranosky, age 89 of North Palm Beach, passed away on August 8, 2015 surrounded by her children. She was born in Beckov, Slovakia and came to the United States of America in 1948. She met the love of her life, George Buranosky, in Pittsburgh, PA before moving to the area in 1961. Her love for God and her family could be seen in the way she led her life. She was also widely known for her passion for birds, flowers, and gardening. Her landscape skills can be seen not only at her home but also at the homes of her children, the campus of St. Clare’s Catholic Church, and the Palm Beach Kennel Club. She was one of the founding members of St. Clare’s Catholic Church where she was responsible for the holiday decorating of the sanctuary for over 50 years.
Zora is preceded in death by her husband George. She is survived by her children Mary Catherine Buranosky, Joe Buranosky and his wife MaryK, Annie Cantwell and her husband R.B., Betsy Buranosky, George Buranosky and his wife Donna; her grandchildren Trey Cantwell and his wife Heather, Mary Dean and her husband Larry, Tawna Buranosky, George Buranosky, David Cantwell, Sarah Buranosky, Cyril Buranosky; her great-grandchildren Arielle Davis, Jackson Dean, McKinley and Paxton Cantwell; and many nieces and nephews in the U.S.A. and Slovakia.
Friends may call on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 6p.m. to 8 p.m at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 754 U.S. Highway 1, North Palm Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at St. Clare’s Catholic Church, 821 Prosperity Farms Rd, North Palm Beach with Rev. William O’Shea. Interment to follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider donations to the Wounded Warriors Project or to St. Clare’s Catholic Church.
