Anne passed away quietly her second day in the North Shore Hospice. Until that time she had managed to stay in her own home. She enjoyed daily visits from neighbours and friends, looking out over her magnificently landscaped grounds. Her incredible sense of humour had visitors constantly laughing.
Although the eldest in her family she was predeceased by all four of her siblings and her husband Norman in 1997.
Anne was fondly known as the "Cookie Lady" as she walked the Mosquito Creek trail six days a week into her eighties. She would have her pockets filled with dog treats. She jokingly shared that she knew all of the dogs by name but sometimes had difficulty remembering their owners' names.
Anne was an avid volunteer, at Lionsgate's palliative unit, the Seniors' Hub and the Community Living Society. She would drive seniors to their appointments. Often she was older than them.
Anne will be very missed by her friends and four legged companions.
