It is with sadness that we say goodbye to our loving mother, sister, aunt, niece, and friend, Christine Joyce Baird. Christine was predeceased by her mother, Margaret, her father, Albert, and her husband, Ray. Known variously as Mom, Christine, Tina, and Auntie Tina, Christine spent her life sharing a wellspring of love for and deep commitment to family and friends. Born in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Christine spent most of her life in North Vancouver and worked for many years at Lions Gate Hospital where she also met her husband, Ray. Left to miss her are her son, Cameron; brother, Frank (Sandi); niece, Janessa (Skylar) nephew, Darnell; aunt, Joan (Lorne); great-niece, Clara; and many loving cousins and friends. Christine’s family is grateful for the loving care she received at Lions Gate and St. Paul’s Hospitals. A celebration of Christine’s life will be held at Boal Chapel Memorial Gardens, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, BC, at 2 pm on Saturday, November 10, 2012. A reception will follow at the same location. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Christine’s name to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
