It is with deep sadness and disbelief that we announce the sudden passing of this very special man. Survived by his loving wife Mary Ann, son Chad, brother Ray (Laura), sister Dale (Barry), brother-in-law Erle (Joann), and their families. Predeceased by parents Bud and Molly. Dave grew up in West Van and dedicated 45 years to the garment industry, establishing a very successful business. Throughout his life, Dave loved giving young people advice on how to get ahead, letting them know they could succeed. He was truly a kind and very generous man, also to be remembered for his endless dedication to charities. A priority with Dave were custom cars and motorcycles. He was a member of the BCHRA and the North Shore Rod and Custom Club. Many friends and family shared his 26 cottage years on Wood Lake; he travelled much of the world and lived a wonderful life. Happy hours at home, the lake, or on the boat, all of us near and dear to Dave will forever hear his voice echoing, "Let's get naked." To be remembered for his great smile, always giving himself to a wife that adored him for 57 years, his family, and his many friends. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, January 7 at 2 p.m. at Capilano Golf & Country Club, 420 Southborough Dr., West Vancouver (NO JEANS POLICY). In lieu of flowers, donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation.
