I was saddened to learn of Debby’s passing.
My deepest sympathy and thoughts are with you all.

So sorry that we have lost Debby too soon. It was great that she was able to attend the last “birthday” group lunch & that we were able to share a big hug.   We both started in the industry around the same time & we were lucky to have experienced the beauty of the islands of Hawaii.

Debby was my work colleague for 5 years!  She was a warm and caring person at heart.  A lover of life and adventure she was always up for a new one and would happily invite a new friend to join!  My condolences to her family they have indeed lost a loving, kind and supportive person that will be missed.  

My deepest sympathy and condolences to Debby ’s family and to Patrick, Graham and Pam on the passing of your beloved wife, mother and sister. She was always kind to me and always ready to help. Debby was a great comfort to us when my mother died. May her memory be a blessing.

My Condolences For Your Loss................I have known Debby for many years, as we both worked in the Travel Industry!!   A few years ago Debby went to Africa with me and last year to Egypt.  She was always cheerful, enjoyed everything, friendly to everyone and fun to travel with!!  We always had good chats about travelling & our Wish List!  She will be missed!!  

This has been a shock.  I still have text messages and late night emails from my colleague and good friend Debby.  Debby was prolific. Think Energizer Bunny.  Debby and I sat side by side at our desks for the past several years.  She supported me on countless occasions at work, most especially in my first few years, when we did not know each other very well, but when I needed a lifeline many, many a time.  Phone a friend/ask Debby.  She ALWAYS stopped what she was doing just to lend a hand.  Although I would not  expect this to be of much comfort to those who have lost her, I take some consolation from Debby’s own words to me only a few weeks ago, shortly after she had just received sober news of her own condition:  “I am alright with this.  I have done what I wanted to do.”  I thought to myself, ‘Wow.  Who else do I know who can say that?  Will I ever be able to say that?”

I first met Debby in Toronto when she worked with Aloha Airlines - we have been friends ever since. She was always inclusive, introducing travel people and growing her network. She was always kind and generous. She loved playing bridge, cutting coupons and going to the casino. She adored Scott and Kyle.  I will miss her daily emails with jokes and interesting stories - I will miss my friend. We didn’t visit often but every time we got together we just carried on. I never met a more diligent worker…..always busy, organized, competitive and willing to help anyone in need. RIP will be impossible….she will be organizing bridge and preparing snacks in another realm.

Your infectious smile and great sense of humour will be remembered for a long time in our office. We were always looking forward to see you and chat about your travels and Ken's latest mischiefs. We will miss you Debby. Your dental friends at Valley Centre Dental Group

JUST FOUND OUT ! Saw Ken walking today stopped to say hi, offered him a ride to the Lynn Valley Village, then he told me, ugh!
The last time I talked to Debbie she helped me deal with an Estate I was working on. She took the time to assist me when she was already busy at work. I will miss her and the great yard sales on Church Street always found something to buy!

I played bridge with Deb every Thursday night and was part of the monthly dinner bridge group along with Gail and Marilyn.  Deb was the glue who held our group together.  She never left bridge without making sure we had another date planned!  She was very creative with meal planning when it was her turn...we never knew what to expect:) She was so sick when we all went to Yellowpoint lodge but true to her personality she did not complain.  It was a gift for us to have three nights of girl time playing bridge on the meadow overlooking the ocean.  
We will all miss our girl taken from us way too early:(

So very sorry for your loss... Debby was a very kind and generous person who had an infectious laugh... My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this very difficult time! Debby will certainly be missed and may she Rest In Peace!!!

Debby was always a joy to be around.  She'd walk into the office always smiling and ready to tell a joke or to have a laugh.    I always looked forward to seeing her.    I've known her almost as long as I've been in this business -- she was just a regular feature and it's so hard to imagine her not being around anymore. 

She has created a huge void.  No one can replace her stories or email jokes.  She had such a love for her boys and when she talked about them you could tell how proud she was of them.

Deal some of those cards, have a big glass of wine and enjoy a few scratch and wins on behalf of Debby and remember the amazing person she was.  She will always be missed.  

Many condolences to your family Debby. You were a dear travel friend from when I first moved to Vancouver in 1990 and didn't know a soul. I remember road trips on the island shuffling from one hotel to the next for travel shows where agents were so happy to have a show come to town. Then there were all those ETN lunches and the best Christmas parties every year.  Too much fun with you and I could go on.  You are sadly missed my dear. In Aloha Airlines days she gave me an eight inch tree, Norfolk Pine. I've kept it all these years, now 7 feet high. We were emailing jokes three days before she passed.  I will miss her.

I am so sorry to miss Deb’s service on June 25th but I’d like to say that I’ve known Deb as long as I’ve been in the industry.  And thats almost 47 years!   She was an Icon in our business! Debby was our dear neighbour for 30 years. When our family moved-in next door, Debby excitedly greeted us with open arms and warmly welcomed us into the neighbourhood. Our family immediately felt very comforted by this. 

Debby was a wonderful mother to her two sons, Kyle and Scott. Our family watched her sons grow up and we have so many fond memories of their childhood with Debby.

Debby was the neighbour anyone would be lucky to have. She established the Block Watch program on Church Street and was devoted to providing a greater sense of safety for everyone and helped our neighbourhood to become stronger and more connected.

Debby will be deeply missed but our memories of her will flourish for many years to come.

This wasn't supposed to happen.. she was completely fine 3 weeks ago and planning to do more vacations. She was the best mom I could have asked for and always made sure my brother and I were good, had everything we needed, were loved, and all my friends had a blast hanging out with her. She said what she wanted and didn't care what anybody thought. She used to write up a "breakfast list" similar to an excel sheet when we had sleep overs every weekend in elementary school and 6 of us would wake up to both my parents cooking up a feast after we spent all night playing video games. We all have so many good childhood memories, and that is what i'm trying to focus on to get through these rough times right now. I'd trade anything to have my mom back.

Debby was a second Mother to me. 
My Mother died while I was apprenticing to be a funeral director. Debby was their for me to hug and to share my Mother stories with her.
It's impossible for me to quantify or define the Love she had for those in her life. It was unmeasurable. 
Debby knew hard times and good times. 
She was always a light when it was dark.
She fought for the underdog. She was a true angel of Love.
There is no way to repair the the void she has left in our souls because she was truely irreplacable.
The stories are many and the memories must be shared.
We honour her life by never forgetting and sharing her Love.
My heart is with her family now. 
May God cradle you and love you. I am always here for you.
She is with my Mother now and I know they are both at God's casino.

Please watch over us all Debby. We still need you.

Debby and I made dinners together once a week. We often shared the dinners with Ken and the boys we couldn’t do that without playing various card games and lots of laughter around the table. Debby’s boys were her pride and joy. Debby grew up in a family who loved to be around people. Her and her siblings are so inclusive and always up for a good time. Debby and I worked together, we lived 10 minutes walk from each other, went on dog walks and supported each other through covid.  She said she felt like there wasn’t even a lockdown because we continued on as usual making great meals and playing games.  Her companionship made life much better for me during that time and I was so very grateful for her kindness and optimism. Debby is one of the most amazing friends I’ve ever had.  Rest in peace my beautiful friend!

Debby will be missed by all who knew her in the travel industry in those good days. She has left us too early in life but her memory will be with us all.  Deepest sympathy to all of the family at this difficult time.

I have worked with Debby at Boal Chapel (First Memorial) for 7 1/2 years now. Many many good chats before and after work, and hugs and laughs while over at the Villa with her and her best buddy, Marilyn.  What a shock to hear that she passed so quickly.  I'm just reading the email she sent me days prior, and she was so optimistic and positive.  I/we will miss that laugh, and her willingness to always listen.   My sincere condolences to her family.

Debby was such a wonderful person to work with. She was kind, caring, and hilarious. She always had a way with families, and how to make people smile. On top of that, her cooking was incredible.  She was honestly just such a joy.  She will be missed.

There was never a more down-to-earth person who was interested and could relate to people in general.  Debby was an excellent communicator.  She was articulate and intelligent in her speech.  She was direct, but also compassionate- a skill that is hard to acquire.  
Many will know, Debby was a Regional Manager with Aloha Airlines and then took her skills to Service Corporation International, Canada to serve the community in pre-arranged funeral sales.  As a funeral director I always felt comfortable working with Debby, knowing that things would be made clear to our client families and that Debby would always be there to listen and offer her appreciated insights into the discussions.  Debby was also one of the hardest working and dedicated people I have ever known in any context.  Debby was a blessing from God.  I will remember her always- also as a good friend.

So very sad to hear of Debbie’s passing we were airline colleagues for many years & have fond memories of her in the travel business along with her kindness.  Sending my deepest condolences to her family and may her many wonderful memories comfort you at this sad time🙏
