Dieter Erich Munz

Dieter passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024 in Lions Gate Hospital. He was born in Stuttgart, Germany and immigrated with his mother and step father to Canada in 1955. He lived with his parents in Vancouver until he married on December 02, 1961. Dieter resided together with his wife in Vancouver until they settled into their house in Lynn Valley, North Vancouver in 1963 where they raised their family and continued to live there until his passing.

For many years, Dieter worked as a Produce Manager for SuperValu until 1976. In 1972 they also started a wholesale business, which he successfully worked in until his passing.

Dieter was a very talented Jack of all trades. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and cooking. His favorite holiday destination was the Island of Kauai in Hawaii.

Dieter is survived by his loving wife Jan of 63 years, his daughters: Cindy Munz of North Vancouver; Wendy Geiger and her husband Charlie of Germany; and Teresa Torchia and her husband Gabe and their son Joseph of Kamloops. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.
