

Born in Duchess, Alberta. Died in West Vancouver, B.C. Faye was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Alan Richard Keevil.
She will be sadly missed by her 4 children, Diane (Randolf), Richard
(Marilyn), Gordon, and Claire (Gordon), as well as by her 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Faye had an adventurous early life which included riding horses to school and confronting prairie grass fires. After completing Business College in Calgary, she joined the Royal Bank in Brooks, Alberta where she began as a teller in a cage, which came equipped with a pistol, later becoming Assistant Accountant. After settling in Calgary, she applied her prodigious energy to volunteer work and her family. She contributed significantly to several organizations
including UNICEF, where she ultimately became Chair of the Alberta Board and a Member of the National Board. In 1977, Faye was awarded the Queen's Silver Jubilee Medal for her volunteer
contributions.
Faye was devoted to her family, creating meaningful festive and birthday traditions, facilitating yearly camping holidays as well as hiking and skiing expeditions in the Rockies. She passed on a love of good food and cooking to all of her offspring.
Later, Faye and Alan would travel to visit their children's families several times a year, and Faye was always there when each of her 11 grandbabies was born. In retirement, Faye and Alan enjoyed life on Pender Island, BC before settling in West Vancouver. Faye had an adventurous spirit and travelled with Alan in Africa, Asia and South America.
Hers was a life well lived and an inspiration for her loving family.
A memorial service will be held in the spring.
