Gary Curtis passed away peacefully on February 1, 2023 in his home in North Vancouver, BC. The son of Jack and Norma Curtis, Gary was born in New Westminster, BC, on June 29, 1941. He has lived in Port Moody and West Vancouver, but spent most of his life in North Vancouver.
Gary loved the outdoors - he enjoyed hiking and camping and was a Scout leader for many years. He also enjoyed playing board games with both his children and his grandchildren. He was a handyman at heart and was always happy to fix things. He helped to build his family’s first house and later helped to renovate it.
He is survived by his son, Darren, his daughter, Laura (Kynan), and granddaughters, Jasmine and Jaida. He is lovingly missed by his sister, Joan Curtis.
A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, March 4th St. John’s Anglican Church, 220 West 8th Street, North Vancouver, BC. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Many thanks.
