Gil was born in St. John, NB. Gil enlisted into the Navy in August, 1963 and proudly served for 3 years, until his discharge on August, 1966. Gil was a long-time resident of North Vancouver and he was longest serving member of the Army & Navy joining in 1963 remained an active member until his passing . He was also a valued member of the North Shore Legions. Gil worked at Cates Tugs in North Vancouver for 40 years till his retirement. Gil was predeceased by his parents, Edgar & Cora and sister Jean. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Phillips. Gil was known by many, he will be truly missed but never forgotten.
