

Jean, a remarkable woman who graced this world with her presence for 97 years, passed away on October 31, 2023. She lived a life full of love, generosity, and a profound appreciation for the beauty of the world. Born on March 15, 1926, Jean touched the hearts of everyone she met with her unlimited generosity. Jean was the daughter of a loving family. She was predeceased by her dear Mother, Mary, father, Roy and siblings, Florence, Oris, Chuck, John, Jim, Millie, and Edith. Reunited with them hereafter, she leaves behind a rich legacy of love, family, and cherished memories with her beloved siblings. She had an uncanny ability to make people feel special and cherished, often spoiling them with gifts and delightful culinary offerings. Her love knew no bounds, and her kindness extended to all she encountered. Jean had a beautiful bond with all of her thirteen nieces and nephews, as well as their wives and children. Jean had a particular bond with her caregivers and nephews, James and Kevin, and their respective wives, Darcie and Bea. Jean's warm and welcoming spirit created a sense of belonging that expanded to her extended family. Jean not only cherished her son Doug but also found great joy in his happiness and successes. Living companions Jerry, Cheryl, Sharon, the Larsons, Gerta and all her friends in the park brought joy, companionship, and warmth to her life. Her neighbours created a close-knit circle of friendship, sharing in her laughter and being there in times of need. Throughout her life, she built deep and lasting connections with those in her life, and she treasured each relationship. Some, like Kitty and Marg, have preceded her in death, and their memories were held dear to her heart. Jean is survived by her loving sister-in-law, Ionne Bowes, who supported one another through life's joys and challenges. Throughout her life, Jean found joy in exploring the world, embarking on exciting worldwide adventures, and creating precious memories. She inspired those around her to cherish each moment. Jean's love for animals, particularly her cats, was a testament to her nurturing nature. She showered her feline companions with affection and care, and they returned her love with devotion. Her legacy of love extended not only to her family but to her beloved pets. Jean leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life. Jean’s life was a beautiful tapestry of love, kindness, and joy, and she will always be remembered as a shining light in the lives of those she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
