Jeff.  I last saw you at our 20th High School reunion.  You were hurt that I didn’t recognize you straight off.  I was just caught up in the moment, and probably had too many, but I’ve always felt bad about that.  So I’m reaching out to you, as you left us too young, your spirit is still alive, and I want to say I’m sorry.  Everything I remember about you and our school days is sooo positive, and you were a bright light, and a beautiful guy.  I’m so sad for your family.  And I’m sorry buddy.

I had the pleasure of becoming friends with Jeff from working with him at the Waterfront. When he was around, we had nothing but cheeks that were sore and guts that hurt from laughing. Everybody loved Jeff. Truly one of a kind. A seriously jolly & infectious personality, you became a little more like him when he was around. Once he was at the Sylvia, I had the pleasure of becoming friends, and roommates, with the love-of-his-life, Espie. Working with Jeff and hanging with friends, I was familiar with the larger-than-life Jeff. But being in our apartment, when I saw him alone with Espie, it opened my eyes to a different Jeff. A love-struck, dedicated, responsible and softer Jeff. I knew he and his true love Espie, found home in each other.

I am lost for words. Only just heard this evening. I worked with Jeff at DHL and kept in touch with him when he moved to Manpower. I met him a few times and more recently spoke with him in confidence about my worries. I checked my LinkedIN messages from August 27th this year where we picked up our conversation on me congratulating him with his new job. I'm sure those he knew him well could hear his total excitement with his new job. He was literally like a kid in a candy store happy! I was too for him and very proud of him. He congratulated me too on my new role and we said we would get together soon. Well Jeff I hope not, as I really don't want to leave this world but you will be forever in my prayers and heart. You made me laugh always and were such a happy go lucky man. You adorned your wife and family and she is a lucky lady to have you in her heart. I wish we could all turn back the clock for a day or two at least to say our final goodbyes. Miss you and goodnight god bless. Xxxx

I had the pleasure of knowing Jeff; not as much as I had hoped, but fortunate enough that I did and whether it was a summer BBQ playing bochi, or spending Christmas Day with his loving family, the times we did share, we shared the same optimistic outlook on life, with happiness and no holds barred laughter and for that Jeff will always have a lasting memory on me. RIP mate.

This is such a tragedy. I met Red & Espie through their friends Adrian & Nicole when I lived in Vancouver. We shared some good times together and I know this man will be so missed by many. My sincere condolences to all the loved him and those that never had the pleasure of knowing him.

Such a great friend and co-worker!  Hard not to remember that fantastic laugh and enthusiasm.  I am sure your family will miss you immensely!  Your work here is done my friend!

He excelled in these departments ❤ He was a proud family man who believed that every day you woke up you had a reason to smile and be happy......he was a fine example of this in every way.  When he was in Cape Breton he visited with us and he was just a very down to earth, friendly & happy guy who made us feel like we had known him for years.  He was a natural.  
We hold you all close to our hears & pray God will give you strength to endure such a loss.  " Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away" and Jeff lived his life exactly this way.

I feel it when these things happen. My Dad passed of the same sudden killer, at the same age (actually an hour and a half from turning 47), and I almost died of a burst aorta. Everyone needs to stay alert to their health issues at our age. I enjoyed the Canada day parties with jeff over the past years-he made them fun. He's a loss to us all in the ND family.

We're so very sorry to hear about Jeff's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this very sad time.

Larger than life, we just shared a meal a few days ago and you jokingly gave me a hard time because I was late just like the first met 14 years ago and more. This is truly too soon, happiest guy around radiating energy. The other side just got better because of you.

Jeff you left us way too soon. I remember in high school how you could make people laugh at some of the crazy things you would do or say. My condolences to your family.

Many years have gone past since our family had seen Jeff. And at that time he was still a very young boy. But very courteous and had a smile I think back in 1992 Jeff came with his brother to visit Taco, and that was our first meeting, Very shy and quiet. When my brother passed away this past March I had a poem that was read to him. And it really helps me when I feel sad and I miss him. "I will carry you with me till I see you again"! Praying that God will give you strength and ease the pain during this difficult time. May he have internal peace. The Deven Family from Bremerton WA.

Although I only met Jeff a few times, his warmth and great smile really made me feel like I knew him forever.  I always thought we'd have the chance to share a few drinks and laughs together here in Dartmouth or in Cape Breton.  He leaves behind a beautiful family who I hope, in time, will smile when they think of him and always remember how much he loved all of you.  I wish I could be there to celebrate his life with you Espie, Noah and Liam and give you a big hug.   You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I remember first meeting Jeff in 1982.  His humor and charm was immediately evident.  The last time I saw Jeff was downtown Vancouver where we bumped into one another after not seeing each other for over two decades.  During that brief conversation, he recalled some good memories from when we were kids....it was like taking a De Loren time machine back to the 80's with him at the controls.  His wit and charm undiminished, he instantly recalled stories I hadn't thought of in years....putting a smile on both our faces!  Cheers Jeff!
